Samuel L. Krachman,Rachna Tiwari,Maria Elena Vega,Daohai Yu,Xavier Soler,F Jaffe,Victor Kim,Irene Swift,Gilbert E. D'Alonzo,Gerard J. Criner +9 more
TL;DR: In smokers with OSA, increased gas trapping and emphysema as assessed by CT are associated with a decreased AHI, and along with sex and BMI, these measurements may be important in determining the severity of OSA in Patients with COPD and may offer a protective mechanism in patients with more advanced disease.
Association of abnormal pulmonary vasculature on CT scan for COVID-19 infection with decreased diffusion capacity in follow up: A retrospective cohort study.
Daniel Salerno,Ifeoma Oriaku,Melinda Darnell,Maarten Lanclus,Jan De Backer,Ben R. Lavon,Rohit Gupta,F Jaffe,Maria Elena Vega Sanchez,Victor Kim +9 more
TL;DR: Low DLCO is common after COVID-19 infection, and abnormalities in pulmonary vascular volumes at the time of hospitalization are independently associated with a low DLCO, suggesting that pulmonary vascular abnormalities during hospitalization with CO VID-19 might have long-lasting effects on pulmonary function.
Veno-arterial extracorporeal membrane oxygenationas a bridge to cytolytic therapy.
Chirantan Mangukia,Stacey Brann,Shrey Patel,F Jaffe,Jeffrey I. Stewart,Gengo Sunagawa,Yoshiya Toyoda +6 more
TL;DR: A case of successful use of veno-arterial (VA) extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), as a bridge to cytoreductive therapy, in a patient with large mediastinal mass due to T cell lymphoblastic leukemia, complicated by acute cardiorespiratory compromise from mechanical compression and pulmonary embolism.
