Intelligent Nutrition Diet Recommender System for Diabetic’s Patients

In this paper, the authors present architecture of a multi agent consultation system for obesity related problems, which hybrid the technology of an expert system (ES) and an intelligent agent (IA). The strength of the ES which is capable of pulling the expert knowledge is consulted and presented to the end user via the autonomous and friendly pushing environment of the intelligent agent. A Hybrid Technology for a Multiagent Consultation System in Obesity Domain

In a distributed P2P (peer to peer) network, each computer is able to act as a server for the others. Collaboration and sharing resources are the main purpose of this distributed heterogonous network. Users need to promptly access the vast amount of data and easily use other user's result. In other words, the processing ability is improved. In this paper, a novel model named FQ (fault tolerant and QoS aware) is proposed using multi-agent technology to respond every information/QoS (quality of service) requirement. The best resources are selected for users accordingly to communication cost and traffic. Intelligent agents cooperate with each other to perform the proper tasks in the distributed network. We describe the agents' behaviour to support fault tolerance and QoS. This model is more flexible and more efficient in managing requests autonomously.

Towards a Multi-agent Framework for Fault Tolerance and QoS Guarantee in P2P Networks

The goal of this project is to model a MAS -- multi-agent web system -- which integrates other expert systems, represented in this application as agents, through a web server. To this end, we developed a prototype of a MAS called CLIDENP -- Virtual Clinic for the Diagnosis and Education of Pediatric Nutrition. CLIDENP allows the diagnosis of nutritional states and suggests diets for children up to two years of age. The results demonstrate that the application of a MAS is capable of facilitating the exchange of messages and services between the original expert systems, by means of a dynamic and autonomous communication language similar to Knowledge Query and Manipulation Language -- KQML. In this way, the proposed model permits a set of expert systems to work in a distributed fashion and solve problems in a complex domain.
