TL;DR: In this paper, an intrinsic antiferromagnetic topological insulator, MnBi2Te4, is theoretically predicted and then realized experimentally, with implications for the study of exotic quantum phenomena, such as quantized magnetoelectric coupling and axion electrodynamics.

Robust behavior and spin-texture stability of the topological surface state in Bi2Se3 upon deposition of gold
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors performed a spin and angle-resolved photoemission study of Au-dosed Bi 2 Se 3 , and showed that the spin textures of the TSS and its accompanying surface resonances remain qualitatively unchanged following Au deposition, and discussed the mechanism underlying the suppression of the spectral weight.

Impact of ultrafast transport on the high-energy states of a photoexcited topological insulator
TL;DR: In this article, the authors demonstrate that ultrafast transport is one of the main driving mechanisms responsible for the decay of excited electrons in prototypical topological insulators following laser excitation.
Ultrafast Thermalization Pathways of Excited Bulk and Surface States in the Ferroelectric Rashba Semiconductor GeTe
O. J. Clark,Indrajit Wadgaonkar,F. Freyse,Gunther Springholz,Marco Battiato,Jaime Sánchez-Barriga +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper , a complex thermalization pathway is observed, wherein three different timescales can be clearly distinguished: intraband thermalization, interband equilibration, and electronic cooling.
