Dihydropyrimidine dehydrogenase activity in cancer patients.
Gérard Milano,M. H. Gaspard,Antoine Thyss,Nicole Renée,M Schneider,F Demard,Ronald A. Fleming,P.J. Bargnoux,R. Plagne +8 more
TL;DR: Dihydropyrimidine dehydrogenase activity in lymphocytes from 66 patients with cancer was determined by a sensitive high performance liquid chromatography method, finding no statistical difference in DPD activity in patients who had not received prior chemotherapy and patients receiving one or more cycles of chemotherapy.

Dose reduction without loss of efficacy for 5-fluorouracil and cisplatin combined with folinic acid. In vitro study on human head and neck carcinoma cell lines.
Marie-Christine Etienne,S Bernard,Jean-Louis Fischel,Patricia Formento,J. Gioanni,J. Santini,F Demard,Maurice Schneider,Gérard Milano +8 more
TL;DR: Observations from the activity of various drug combinations including 5-FU, CDDP and FA was tested on two human cell lines derived from squamous cell carcinomas of the head and neck may be beneficial for the design of more rational therapeutic trials associating CDDP,5-FU and FA.

No effect of dose, hepatic function, or nutritional status on 5-FU clearance following continuous (5-day), 5-FU infusion.
Ronald A. Fleming,Gérard Milano,Marie-Christine Etienne,Nicole Renée,Antoine Thyss,Maurice Schneider,F Demard +6 more
TL;DR: Results show that laboratory data including indices of hepatic function and nutritional status cannot account for the interpatient variability in 5-FU disposition.

Prognostic value of continuous variables in breast cancer and head and neck cancer. Dependence on the cut-off level.
TL;DR: Prognostic value of continuous variables in breast cancer and head and neck cancer and prognosis on the cut-off level are compared.

Malignant tumours of the salivary glands.
René-Jean Bensadoun,M P Blanc-Vincent,Pierre Chauvel,O Dassonville,G Gory-Delabaere,F Demard +5 more
