The impact of an erbium, chromium:yttrium-scandium-gallium-garnet laser with radial-firing tips on endodontic treatment
U. Schoop,A. Barylyak,K. Goharkhay,F. Beer,Johann Wernisch,Apostolos Georgopoulos,Wolfgang R. Sperr,Andreas Moritz +7 more
TL;DR: The investigations indicated that the Er,Cr:YSGG laser, in conjunction with radial-firing tips, is a suitable tool for the elimination of bacteria in root canals and for the removal of smear layer.

Reduction of collateral thermal impact of diode laser irradiation on soft tissue due to modified application parameters.
TL;DR: Investigation of the effect of different working modes and power settings of a standardized 980-nm diode laser on collateral thermal soft-tissue damage found that setting the laser parameters in accordance with the absorption characteristics of the tissue reduced collateral thermal tissue damage while maintaining an acceptable cutting ability.

The influence of water/air cooling on collateral tissue damage using a diode laser with an innovative pulse design (micropulsed mode)-an in vitro study
TL;DR: This first pilot study clearly shows that water/air cooling in vitro has an effect on collateral tissue damage and reduction of collateral thermal damage after diode laser incisions is clinically relevant for promoted wound healing.
