Techno-economic feasibility assessment of a biomass cogeneration plant based on an Organic Rankine Cycle.
TL;DR: In this article, a technical and economic feasibility assessment of organic rankine cycle power plants in a cogeneration topping layout has been presented, where four typical organic fluids (two silicone oils, toluene and isopentane), subcritical and supercritical cycles and the inclusion of a recuperator have been considered.

Does cash money solve energy poverty? Assessing the impact of household heating allowances in Spain
TL;DR: In this paper, an analysis of the effectiveness of the Thermal Social Allowance (TSA) in one of the Member States (Spain), as well as a proposal to redefine it, to address some of its limitations, is presented.

Recuperated versus single-recuperator re-compressed supercritical CO2 Brayton power cycles for DEMO fusion reactor based on dual coolant lithium lead blanket
José Ignacio Linares,Alexis Cantizano,Eva Arenas,B.Y. Moratilla,Víctor Martín-Palacios,L. Batet +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, the technical feasibility of supercritical CO2 Brayton power cycles is analyzed for a dual-coolant lithium lead blanket-based fusion power plant with DEMO (DEMO) prototype.

Sizing of a recuperative supercritical CO2 Brayton cycle as power conversion system for DEMO fusion reactor based on Dual Coolant Lithium Lead blanket
José Ignacio Linares,Eva Arenas,Alexis Cantizano,José Porras,B.Y. Moratilla,Mar Carmona,L. Batet +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a modified recuperative supercritical CO2 cycle for DEMO fusion reactor is analyzed, where a layout with just one recuperator is used, because of the relatively low temperature of the breeding blanket coolants.

Feasibility Study of a Centralised Electrically Driven Air Source Heat Pump Water Heater to Face Energy Poverty in Block Dwellings in Madrid (Spain)
Roberto Barrella,Irene Priego,José Ignacio Linares,Eva Arenas,José Carlos Romero,Efraim Centeno +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors evaluated the performance of a centralised heat pump (200 kW of heating capacity) to meet the space heating demand of block dwellings in Madrid (tier four out of five in winter severity in Spain).
