Adjustable Tensegrity Structures
TL;DR: In this paper, a full-scale prototype of an adjustable tense-grity has been built and tested at Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL), and the structure behaves linearly when subjected to vertical loads applied to a single joint.

Developing intelligent tensegrity structures with stochastic search
TL;DR: This poster presents a poster presenting a probabilistic procedure for estimating the response of the immune system to chemotherapy-like injuries to treat central nervous system injuries.

Etienne Fest,Ian F. C. Smith +1 more
- 01 Jan 2002
TL;DR: In this article, a description of deux structures, de taille differente, construites a l'Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne and compare leur comportement structural are presented.

Construction et caractérisation d'une structure active de type tensegrité
Etienne Fest,Ian F. C. Smith +1 more
- 28 Mar 2003
TL;DR: In this article, a full-scale tense-grity structure was built and tested at EPFL and a new concept of active structure using advance computational control algorithms is shown. But, even for small displacements, elastic superposition of displacements does not predict accurately the behaviour for multiply loaded joints.
