Can ecolabels survive in the long run?: The role of initial conditions
TL;DR: In this article, the interaction between three environmental strategies within a population of firms: brown, green, and certified green strategies is analyzed, and it is shown that when green firms certify their environmental strategies by joining an ecolabel, they tend to fully replace other uncertified environmental initiatives and to increase the proportion of firms implementing voluntary abatement.

A dynamic approach to voluntary environmental contributions in tourism
TL;DR: In this paper, an evolutionary game-theoretical model of tourism firms that use an endogenous natural Common Pool Resource (CPR) was used to show that stable equilibrium with voluntary environmental initiatives may coexist with other equilibria where voluntary abatement is absent.
