Nerolidol, an antiulcer constituent from the essential oil of Baccharis dracunculifolia DC (Asteraceae).
Fernando Canani Klopell,Marivane Lemos,João Paulo Barreto de Sousa,Eros Comunello,Edson Luis Maistro,Jairo Kennup Bastos,Sérgio Faloni de Andrade +6 more
TL;DR: Nerolidol displays antiulcer activity, as it significantly inhibited the formation of ulcers induced in different animal models, however, further pharmacological and toxicological investigations are required to allow the use of nerolidol for the treatment of gastric ulcer.
Portable lensless wide-field microscopy imaging platform based on digital inline holography and multi-frame pixel super-resolution.
Antonio Carlos Sobieranski,Antonio Carlos Sobieranski,Fatih Inci,H. Cumhur Tekin,Mehmet Yuksekkaya,Mehmet Yuksekkaya,Eros Comunello,Daniel Cobra,Aldo von Wangenheim,Utkan Demirci,Utkan Demirci +10 more
TL;DR: An irregular displacement-based lensless wide-field microscopy imaging platform is presented by combining digital in-line holography and computational pixel super-resolution using multi-frame processing.
Evaluation of the antiulcerogenic activity of Maytenus robusta (Celastraceae) in different experimental ulcer models.
Sérgio Faloni de Andrade,Marivane Lemos,Eros Comunello,Vânia Floriani Noldin,Valdir Cechinel Filho,Rivaldo Niero +5 more
TL;DR: The results of the present study showed that Maytenus robusta hydroalcoholic extract displays gastroprotective activity, which indicates that this species could be used in phytotherapeutic preparations as a substitute forMaytenus ilicifolia.

Antiulcerogenic activity of crude extract, fractions and populnoic acid isolated from Austroplenckia populnea (Celastraceae).
Sérgio Faloni de Andrade,Daiane Antoniolli,Eros Comunello,L.G.V. Cardoso,José Carlos Tavares Carvalho,Jairo Kenupp Bastos +5 more
TL;DR: The oral administration of hydralcoholic, hexane, chloroform and EtOAc extracts decreased the ulcer lesion index (ULI) and Oral administration of populnoic acid diminished the ULI by 55.29%.
Antiulcerogenic activity of fractions and 3,15-Dioxo-21α-hydroxy friedelane isolated from Maytenus robusta (Celastraceae)
Sérgio Faloni de Andrade,Eros Comunello,Vânia Floriani Noldin,Franco Delle Monache,Valdir Cechinel Filho,Rivaldo Niero +5 more
TL;DR: The result suggests that the antiulcer effect observed in the extract and fractions may be attributed, at least in part, to this compound.
