Uptake of adenine nucleotides by respiring mitochondria during active accumulation of ca++ and phosphate.
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that the acid-labile phosphate accumulating with Ca++ and inorganic phosphate is contributed largely by adenosine diand triphosphates, which are accumulated from the medium in amount far exceeding the normal mitochondrial content of these nucleotides.

Ca2+ metabolism in yeast cells and mitochondria
TL;DR: The results show that energy-linked Ca 2+ transport is not a universal attribute of intact mitochondria from all species, and since the yeast cells lack high-affinity Ca 1+ binding capacity, they may lack a specific Ca 2+, carrier.

The interaction of La3+ with mitochondria in relation to respiration-coupled Ca2+ transport
TL;DR: Isotopic experiments showed that La 3+ is, in fact, bound to the same high-affinity sites as Ca 2+ , in both intact mitochondria and in mitochondrial extracts.

Cation and anion balance during active accumulation of ca++ and mg++ by isolated mitochondria.
TL;DR: A correlated study of some of the relationships between the respiration-linked uptake of Ca++ and uptake of Mg+f by rat liver mitochondria, and a study of the exchanges of these movements to electron flux in the respiratory chain is reported.
