A co-culture-based model of human blood–brain barrier: application to active transport of indinavir and in vivo–in vitro correlation
Isabelle Megard,Alexia Garrigues,Stéphane Orlowski,Sylvie Jorajuria,Pascal Clayette,Eric Ezan,Aloïse Mabondzo +6 more
TL;DR: The developed human BBB model represents a useful tool for the evaluation of drug penetration into the CNS and confirms the role of P-gp in preventing the passage of indinavir across BBB and thus its entry into the central nervous system (CNS).

Evaluation of Drug Penetration into the Brain: A Double Study by in Vivo Imaging with Positron Emission Tomography and Using an in Vitro Model of the Human Blood-Brain Barrier
Véronique Josserand,Hélène Pélerin,Béatrice de Bruin,Benoit Jego,Bertrand Kuhnast,Françoise Hinnen,Frédéric Ducongé,Raphaël Boisgard,Frédéric Beuvon,Francine Chassoux,Catherine Daumas-Duport,Eric Ezan,Frédéric Dollé,Aloïse Mabondzo,Bertrand Tavitian +14 more
TL;DR: A close correlationship between the assessment of the BBB passage in vitro and in vivo is proved and small animal PET imaging appears suitable to screen directly in vivo brain targeting of drugs or radiopharmaceutical candidates.

Captopril inhibits in vitro and in vivo the proliferation of primitive haematopoietic cells induced into cell cycle by cytotoxic drug administration or irradiation but has no effect on myeloid leukaemia cell proliferation.
TL;DR: AcSDKP might mediate the observed in vitro and in vivo inhibitory effects of captopril on primitive haematopoietic cell proliferation, which are suggested to be correlated with a reduction in ACE degradative activity and an increase in the level of endogenous AcSDP.

Detection of chemicals by a reporter immunoassay: application to fluoride.
Marie-Astrid Sagot,Florence Heutte,Pierre-Yves Renard,Frédéric Dolle,Philippe Pradelles,Eric Ezan +5 more
TL;DR: This indirect immunoassay combines simplicity and high sensitivity and, therefore, can be used in field monitoring and has been applied to the detection of fluoride salts in natural waters and in an atmosphere artificially contaminated with HF.

Procede de detection de fluorure ou de fluorure d'hydrogene et trousse de detection
Eric Ezan,Marie-Astrid Sagot,Philippe Pradelles +2 more
- 14 May 2004
