Specificity of Acceleration, Maximum Speed and Agility in Professional Soccer Players

Growth, physical activity, and motor development in prepubertal children

This systematic review was aimed at identifying the psychometric properties of field-based tests for assessing physical fitness in soccer referees. Electronic databases were searched up to May 2020 for studies that informed about the reliability and/or validity of at least one field-based physical fitness test for soccer referees. A total of 13 studies analysed the psychometric properties of the field-based physical fitness tests proposed by the Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) (aerobic endurance, n = 8; anaerobic endurance, n = 3; and speed, n = 8), while seven investigations focused on field-based physical fitness tests specifically designed for assessing aerobic endurance (n = 1) or change of direction (COD) (n = 6). According to the observed reliability and validity values, the Assistant Referee Intermittent Endurance test (ARIET), the 50-m sprint test and the Modified Agility test (MAT) seem, respectively, the best available options for assessing aerobic endurance, speed, and COD in soccer referees. Future investigations should consider the lack of research focusing on assistant and female referees. Further studies on the psychometric properties of anaerobic endurance and short distance speed tests are also needed.

Field-based tests for assessing fitness in referees: A systematic review.

Kabupaten Banyuwangi memiliki beberapa macam suku diantaranya suku jawa, osing danmadura. Ketika ditinjau dari perbedaan tempat tinggal serta letak geografis yang berbeda-beda, maka hal tersebut berpotensi untuk menghasilkan para calon atlet dengan minat dan bakat yang bervariatif berdasarkan dari masing-masing suku. Tujuan d a r i p e n e l i t i a n i n i untuk mengidentifikasi minat dan bakat olahraga pada siswa Sekolah Dasar berdasarkan beberapa suku yang ada di Banyuwangi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian survei dengan rancangan deskriptif kuantitatif dan jumlah sampel berjumlah 90 siswa yang merepresentasikan populasi seluruh siswa SD di Kabupaten Banyuwangi. Rentang usia 11–14 tahun, memiliki latar belakang dari suku Jawa, Madura dan Osing. Proses pengumpulan data menggunakan metode angket dan tes pengukuran pemanduan bakat sport search. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pada anak-anak suku jawa sangat berpotensi pada cabang olahraga lari cepat dengan jumlah 14 anak (46,6%), suku madura sangat berpotensi pada lompat tinggi dengan jumlah 12 anak (40%) dan suku osing sangat berpotensi pada lari gawang dengan jumlah 12 anak (40 %). Hasil dari jumlah anak dan persentase tersebut mewakili dari 30 responden untuk setiap suku. Sedangkan data yang didapatkan dari hasil penyebaran angket pada 30 sampel di setiap suku tersebut, menunjukkan minat pada suku jawa, suku madura dan suku osing lebih dominan pada cabang olahraga sepak bola dengan jumlah anak dan persentase sebagai berikut: suku jawa 18 anak (60%), suku madura 12 anak (40%) dan suku osing 13 anak (43,3%).

Analisis Minat Dan Bakat Olahraga Berbasis Kearifan Lokal di Kabupaten Banyuwangi

Although there are numerous studies on talent, especially talent identification, development, and selection, both on influencing factors and model construction or talent prediction, they have relatively independently explored some of its stages. Undeniably, talent development is continuous and phased, with specific tasks to be completed at each step, and these steps have certain differences and relationships. The aim of this review is to provide a clear distinction between the entire talent cultivation process, with the purpose of having better methods and measures for each stage to minimize the turnover rate and ensure the integrity of the talent development process. Through searching the Web of Science ™ database, this review was performed according to Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. Selected were original articles in English containing data or models related to talent detection/identification/development/selection in sports. A total of 16 articles were included in the study by reviewing the literature. This overview presents the differences and relationships between the four stages of talent cultivation, where these different aspects are aim, purpose, approach, and emphasis. The relationship is characterized by continuity, progressive, complementary, and mutually. This finding shows that each stage is not developed independently, but is an integral part of the talent training process. Additionally, better differentiation and strengthening of the links between the various talent cultivation stages are considered to contribute to elite athlete development. This review highlights the differences and relationships that exist at each stage of talent cultivation. Meanwhile, some measures are also proposed to strengthen the connection of these phases and how to reduce the turnover rate of talent, which can provide theoretical references for coaches or stakeholders. Based on the results of the review, it is also recommended that future research on talent cultivation could take into account the intrinsic linkages between the various stages and develop talent training programs in a multidimensional way. 

Differences and relationships between talent detection, identification, development and selection in sport: A systematic review

The ability of change of direction quickly, in other words agility, and short distance sprinting speed are two of the most important performance components for football referees. The tests used by FIFA and UEFA such as Cooper Test, Yo-Yo Intermittent Test, 40 × 75 m tests do not include testing the agility skills of the referees. However, especially the field referees changing their activities constantly. Otherwise, the short distance sprinting is another important factor to well positioning of the football referees. Especially, the assistant referees frequently performs short sprints to follow the offside line. For these reasons, we have compared 5 m, 10 m, 30 m sprint tests, T-Test, Arrowhead Agility Test and Illinois Agility Test scores of the football referees working in Ankara (City referees). All referees performed sprint tests twice and performed the agility tests one time. All tests have shown normal distribution frequencies. Our results showed that all of the six tests have shown positive correlations between ( P <0,01). Additively, it could be said that the agility skill has a relationship with short distance sprinting because of the referees who showed better sprint performances were also found to have higher agility scores. Consequently, each of the 5 m, 10 m, 30 m, T-Test, Arrowhead and Illinois Agility Test could be used to assess the performance of the referees.

Talent selection is the most important phase to train elite athletes for future. In the talent selection stages, there are many important criteria’s have shown in the literature. The age is an important criterion. Besides, physical fitness, anthropometric data’s have used to the testing athletes for talent selection. On the other hand, the cognitive, perceptual and motor skills are also important factors to determine talented individuals. Researchers have conducted many tests for talent selection also include genetic testing nowadays. This review summarizes the most important criteria’s and the most commonly used tests roughly.

An Overview of the Important Points of TalentSelection in Sports

With compulsory distance education in Turkey during the pandemic, the positive and negative effects of distance education have been investigated. In this study, the views of 256 students (162 males, 94 females) with a mean age of 21.5±3.457, studying in various departments in the primary field of sports sciences at state (n = 95) and foundation (n = 161) universities, on distance education and face-to-face education. It was taken with the Attitudes towards Distance Education Scale and compared statistically. In addition to frequency and distribution analysis, an Independent Sample T-Test was applied for statistical analysis, and the confidence interval was determined as 95% (p < 0.05). As a result of the research, it was seen that the students found face-to-face education more effective. It was noted that students who found face-to-face teaching more effective than other students agreed with the view that distance education is not engaging with a significant difference (p < 0.05). The same students also stated that they disagreed with the opinions that qualified results can be obtained from distance education applications. According to students ‘ opinions, this study provides educators with information about some of the missing points of distance education compared to face-to-face teaching. The minus points of distance education can be detailed with surveys to be made with more participants.

Evaluation of Attitudes of Students Studying at State and Private Universities towards Distance Education

In this research, we analyzed the pass accuracy (PA) of center-back (CB), wing-back (WB), center-midfield (CM), wing-midfield (WM) and center-forward (CF) players, and the points of Turkish Super League (TSL) 2020-2021 season. Pearson Correlation Test was used for statistical analysis and confidence interval was settled as 99% (p < 0.01). The results showed that the PA average of CB and CM players was highly related to the points obtained at the end of the season. The passing accuracy of the teams finishing the league in the best places was above 80%, and it was lower in those teams with less points. In conclusion, the results demonstrated that pass accuracy affected the league rank of TSL, and a pass accuracy of 80% may be a critical level to finish in the top ranking of the league.
 En esta investigación, se analizó la precisión de pase (PP) promedio de los jugadores de centro (C), lateral (L), centro-medio (CM), lateral-medio (LM) y delanteros centro (CF) de los equipos de la Súper Liga Turca (SLT), así como los puntos de la temporada 2020-2021. El test de correlación de Pearson fue utilizado para el análisis estadístico, estableciendo el intervalo de confianza en 99% (p <0,01). Los resultados mostraron que el promedio de PP de los jugadores de C y CM estaba altamente relacionado con los puntos obtenidos al final de la temporada. La precisión de pase de los equipos que terminaron la liga en las mejores posiciones fue superior al 80%, y fue menor en los equipos que terminaron en peores posiciones. En conclusión, los resultados demostraron que la precisión del pase afectó a la clasificación de los equipos de la SLT, y que un 80% de precisión de pase puede ser un nivel crítico para terminar en las mejores posiciones de la liga.
