Plasmonic Color-Graded Nanosystems with Achromatic Subwavelength Architectures for Light Filtering and Advanced SERS Detection.
Remo Proietti Zaccaria,Francesco Bisio,Gobind Das,Gobind Das,Giulia Maidecchi,M. Caminale,Chinh Duc Vu,Chinh Duc Vu,Francesco De Angelis,Enzo Di Fabrizio,Andrea Toma,Maurizio Canepa +11 more
TL;DR: This work reports the realization of multifunctional plasmon-graded devices where continuously graded chromatic response is achieved by smoothly tuning the composition of the resonator material while simultaneously maintaining an achromatic nanoscale geometry.
37
Drug Delivery Applications of Three-Dimensional Printed (3DP) Mesoporous Scaffolds.
TL;DR: How the interdisciplinarity of certain branches of knowledge, as those of materials science and nano-microfabrication are, represent a growing valuable aid in the advanced forum for the science and technology of pharmaceutics and biopharmaceutics is highlighted.

Diffracting aperture based differential phase contrast for scanning X-ray microscopy
Burkhard Kaulich,François Polack,Ulrich Neuhaeusler,Jean Susini,Enzo Di Fabrizio,Thomas Wilhein +5 more
TL;DR: A differential phase contrast, similar to Nomarski's differential interference contrast for the light microscope, is observed, which results in a tremendous increase in image contrast of up to 20 % when imaging low absorbing specimen.
Writing and functionalisation of suspended DNA nanowires on superhydrophobic pillar arrays.
Ermanno Miele,Angelo Accardo,Andrea Falqui,Andrea Falqui,Monica Marini,Andrea Giugni,Marco Leoncini,Francesco De Angelis,Roman Krahne,Enzo Di Fabrizio +9 more
TL;DR: Here, the controlled motion of the a three-phase contact line (TCL) of DNA-loaded drops on superhydrophobic substrates is used to fabricate suspended nanowire arrays that are versatile for the fabrication of complex structures that obtained functionality via combinations with other materials.

Ultrahydrophobic PMMA micro- and nano-textured surfaces fabricated by optical lithography and plasma etching for X-ray diffraction studies
Angelo Accardo,Francesco Gentile,Federico Mecarini,Francesco De Angelis,Manfred Burghammer,Enzo Di Fabrizio,Christian Riekel +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the PMMA ultrahydrophobic surfaces with contact angles up to about 170 degrees have been fabricated and used in the context of synchrotron radiation experiments on biological droplets.
