Developing intercultural competence through collaborative learning in international higher education
TL;DR: In this article, the authors hypothesized that collaborative learning in international higher education contributes to the development of intercultural competence and found that when students perceive that the group process improves, the quality of the collaboration in terms of verbal interaction and equal contribution will also improve.

TL;DR: In a survey of lecturers in higher education, the authors found that lecturers were consistently more student-oriented than lecturer-oriented in applying collaborative learning, and more studentoriented lecturers varied more in their collaborative learning practices and beliefs.

A small independent retailer's performance: Influenced by innovative strategic decision-making skills?
TL;DR: In this article, a structural equation methodology was used to analyse the impact of strategic decision-making skills, originating from the effectuation framework, on a small retailer's success, and three entrepreneurial qualities and skills proved to be significantly related to a small retailers' effectiveness: innovative personal qualities related to creativity, cognitive analytic business skills, and capacities in inspirational networking.
