Inhibition of collagen-induced discoidin domain receptor 1 and 2 activation by imatinib, nilotinib and dasatinib
Elizabeth Day,Beatrice Waters,Katrin Spiegel,Tanja Alnadaf,Paul W. Manley,Elisabeth Buchdunger,Christoph Walker,Gabor Jarai +7 more
TL;DR: The studies demonstrate that all 3 compounds are potent inhibitors of the kinase activity of both DDR1 and DDR2, which may have therapeutic implications in a number of inflammatory, fibrotic and neoplastic diseases.

TLR9 Differentiates Rapidly from Slowly Progressing Forms of Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis
Glenda Trujillo,Alessia Meneghin,Kevin R. Flaherty,Lynette M. Sholl,Jeffrey L. Myers,Ella A. Kazerooni,Barry H. Gross,Sameer R. Oak,Ana Lucia Coelho,Holly L. Evanoff,Elizabeth Day,Galen B. Toews,Amrita Joshi,Matthew Schaller,Beatrice Waters,Gabor Jarai,John Westwick,Steven L. Kunkel,Fernando J. Martinez,Cory M. Hogaboam +19 more
TL;DR: Compared to slow progressors, patients with rapidly progressive idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis express more TLR9, which recognizes unmethylated CpG DNA and stimulates the fibrotic process, and results suggest that TLR 9 may serve as a marker for IPF rapid progressors and thatTLR9 targeting may be a new therapeutic strategy for treating IPF.
Late diversification in the clonal composition of human cytomegalovirus-specific CD8+ T cells following allogeneic hemopoietic stem cell transplantation
Maher K. Gandhi,Mark R. Wills,Georgina Okecha,Elizabeth Day,Ray Hicks,Robert Marcus,J. G. Patrick Sissons,A. J. Carmichael +7 more
TL;DR: It is concluded that, following alloSCT, late diversification of the HCMV-specific CD8+ T-cell clonal repertoire can occur in response to persistent viral antigen.

A functional analysis of Wnt inducible signalling pathway protein −1 (WISP-1/CCN4)
TL;DR: The data suggest that WISP-1 mediated adhesion of A549 cells is an integrin-driven event regulated by the C-terminal domains of the protein.
Cloning and pharmacological characterization of CCR7, CCL21 and CCL19 from Macaca fascicularis
Rachel Moxley,Elizabeth Day,Kate Brown,Marion Mahnke,Mauro Zurini,Rita Schmitz,Carol E. Jones,Gabor Jarai +7 more
TL;DR: The cynomolgus monkey genes encoding CCR7, CCL19 and CCL21 are identified and provided a model system for pre-clinical studies of potential drug candidates.
