Comparison of different thyroid committed doses in radioiodine therapy for Graves' hyperthyroidism
Mariano Grosso,A. C. Traino,Giuseppe Boni,Elena Banti,Mauro Della Porta,Gianpiero Manca,Duccio Volterrani,Serena Chiacchio,Abedallatif AlSharif,Elisa Borsò,R Raschillà,Fabio Di Martino,Giuliano Mariani +12 more
TL;DR: The results obtained in this study show no correlation between dose and outcome of radioiodine therapy (in terms of persistent hyperthyroidism) for thyroid absorbed doses > or =150 Gy, while confirming the relation between the thyroid absorbed dose and the incidence of hypothyroidism in GD patients.

Radioguided occult lesion localization of cervical recurrences from differentiated thyroid cancer: technical feasibility and clinical results
Elisa Borsò,Mariano Grosso,Giuseppe Boni,Gianpiero Manca,Bianchi P,Marco Puccini,M Arganini,Manlio Cabria,Arnoldo Piccardo,Anselmo Arlandini,Cinzia Orlandini,Giuliano Mariani +11 more
TL;DR: The ROLL technique is feasible in selected patients with loco-regional recurrence from DTC, proving to be particularly useful also in patients already submitted to cervical dissections and/or with small lesions located in surgically difficult sites, and can have a clinical role in the management of cervical DTC recurrences.

The brain cognitive reserve hypothesis: A review with emphasis on the contribution of nuclear medicine neuroimaging techniques
Giampiero Giovacchini,Elisabetta Giovannini,Elisa Borsò,Patrizia Lazzeri,Mattia Riondato,Rossella Leoncini,Valerio Duce,Luigi Mansi,Andrea Ciarmiello +8 more
TL;DR: The BCR hypothesis has been validated with methodologically sound study designs and sophisticated neuroimaging techniques using different radiotracers and providing an explanation for neuropathological and clinical observations on patients with AD.
