CT-based temperature monitoring during hepatic RF ablation: feasibility in an animal model.
Philipp Bruners,G. D. Pandeya,Elena Levit,Eva Roesch,Tobias Penzkofer,Peter Isfort,B. Schmidt,Marcel J. W. Greuter,Matthijs Oudkerk,Thomas Schmitz-Rode,Christiane K. Kuhl,Andreas H. Mahnken +11 more
TL;DR: Multislice computed tomography is able to depict temperature changes in liver tissue during RFA, and a negative correlation was found for the relationship between temperature and CT value.

Multi-slice computed tomography: A tool for non-invasive temperature measurement?
Philipp Bruners,Elena Levit,Tobias Penzkofer,Peter Isfort,Christina Ocklenburg,B. Schmidt,Thomas Schmitz-Rode,Rolf W. Günther,Andreas H. Mahnken +8 more
TL;DR: Investigation of multi-slice computed tomography as a tool for non-invasive temperature measurement found it can depict thermal density expansion of different fluids and the implementation of a temperature discrimination of several degrees C at a high spatial resolution is achievable.

Bile aspiration and hydrodissection to prevent complications in hepatic RFA close to the gallbladder
TL;DR: Bile aspiration with or without additional hydrodissection permits safe RFA of tumors located close to the gallbladder, and there were no cases with cholecystitis or damage to thegallbladder during follow-up.
