Electronic structure and slow magnetic relaxation of low-coordinate cyclic alkyl(amino) carbene stabilized iron(I) complexes.
Prinson P. Samuel,Kartik Chandra Mondal,Nurul Amin Sk,Herbert W. Roesky,Elena Carl,Roman Neufeld,Dietmar Stalke,Serhiy Demeshko,Franc Meyer,Liviu Ungur,Liviu F. Chibotaru,Jonathan H. Christian,Vasanth Ramachandran,Johan van Tol,Naresh S. Dalal +14 more
TL;DR: Electrolysis of cyclic alkyl(amino) carbene stabilized two- and three-coordinate Fe(I) complexes shows slow magnetic relaxation typical for single molecule magnets under an applied direct current magnetic field.

Lewis Base Mediated Autoionization of GeCl2 and SnCl2
Amit Pratap Singh,Herbert W. Roesky,Elena Carl,Dietmar Stalke,Jean-Philippe Demers,Adam Lange +5 more
TL;DR: The synthesis of cationic and anionic species of heavier low-valent group 14 elements of germanium( II) and tin(II) by using the substituted Schiff base 2,6-diacetylpyridinebis(2, 6-diisopropylanil) as Lewis base (LB).
Easy Access to Silicon(0) and Silicon(II) Compounds
Kartik Chandra Mondal,Prinson P. Samuel,Mykyta Tretiakov,Amit Pratap Singh,Herbert W. Roesky,A. Claudia Stückl,Benedikt Niepötter,Elena Carl,Hilke Wolf,Regine Herbst-Irmer,Dietmar Stalke +10 more
TL;DR: Two different synthetic methodologies of silicon dihalide bridged biradicals of the general formula (L(n)•)2SiX2 (n = 1, 2) have been developed and cyclic voltametry measurements show that 10 can irreversibly undergo both one electron oxidation and reduction.

Stabilization of a cobalt-cobalt bond by two cyclic alkyl amino carbenes.
Kartik Chandra Mondal,Prinson P. Samuel,Herbert W. Roesky,Elena Carl,Regine Herbst-Irmer,Dietmar Stalke,Brigitte Schwederski,Wolfgang Kaim,Liviu Ungur,Liviu F. Chibotaru,Markus Hermann,Gernot Frenking +11 more
TL;DR: Theoretical investigation revealed that both 2 and 2(•+)OTf(-) possess a Co-Co bond with an average value of 2.585 Å, more likely to be caused by the strong π-accepting property of cAAC than by the energy minimum.
