TL;DR: This article explored the referral experiences of people with nonspecific low back pain (LBP) in Australian primary care and their knowledge and experience of physiotherapy and found that patients perceived differences in the roles of physiotherapists and specialist physiotherapist and nominated barriers and facilitators to optimal referral practices.
