Testing light dark matter coannihilation with fixed-target experiments
TL;DR: In this paper, a fixed-target search for thermal-origin dark matter (DM) is proposed, which couples inelastically to the Standard Model. But, since the DM only interacts by transitioning to a heavier state, freeze-out proceeds via coannihilation and the unstable heavier state is depleted at later times.

Physics motivation for a pilot dark matter search at Jefferson Laboratory
TL;DR: The first stage of this program can be realized at Jefferson Laboratory using an existing plastic-scintillator detector downstream of the Hall D electron beam dump as mentioned in this paper, which highlights its unique sensitivity to inelastic "exciting" dark matter and leptophilic dark matter scenarios.

Heavy Flavor Simplified Models at the LHC
Rouven Essig,Rouven Essig,Rouven Essig,Eder Izaguirre,Eder Izaguirre,Jared Kaplan,Jay G. Wacker +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a set of simplified models that contribute to final states with top and bottom quarks at the LHC were used to create minimal search strategies that ensure optimal coverage of new heavy flavor physics involving the pair production of color octets and triplets.

A Letter of Intent to Install a milli-charged Particle Detector at LHC P5
Austin Ball,James John Brooke,Brian Francis,Frank Golf,Theo Prins,David Miller,C. Campagnari,Bennett Marsh,Andy Haas,Christopher S. Hill,D. Stuart,Eder Izaguirre,Albert De Roeck,Joel Goldstein,Benjamin Kaplan,Max Swiatlowski,M. Gastal,Gabriel Magill,Itay Yavin,Harry Shakeshaft +19 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a dedicated experiment that would detect milli-charged particles produced by pp collisions at LHC Point 5 during LS2 in the vestigial drainage gallery above UXC and would not interfere with CMS operations.

Illuminating new electroweak states at hadron colliders
TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed a novel strategy to perform searches for new electroweak states at hadron colliders, which relies on emission of photon radiation from the new charged states as a means of discriminating the signal from SM backgrounds.
