Patent
Process for the encapsulation of preformed substrates by graft copolymerization
Janssen Robert A,Earl C. Mccraw,Nicolson Paul C +2 more
- 04 Jan 1990
TL;DR: In this paper, a process for encapsulating a preformed polymeric substrate comprises peroxidizing and hydroperoxidising the surface of said preformed substrate using ozone and then carrying out a crosslinked graft copolymerization of selected ethylenically unsaturated monomers both on and surrounding (encapsulating) said substrate.

Patent
Process for graft copolymerization on surfaces of preformed substrates to modify surface properties
Janssen Robert A,Ellen M Freeman,Earl C. Mccraw +2 more
- 04 Jan 1990
TL;DR: In this article, a process for modifying the surface characteristics of a preformed polymeric substrate to impart hydrophilicity, hydrophobicity or other desired properties is described.

Peroxide disinfection method and devices therefor
Nicolson Paul C,Kenneth R. Seamons,Fu-Pao Tsao,Larry A. Alvord,Earl C. Mccraw +4 more
- 26 Aug 1993
TL;DR: In this paper, a method of disinfecting a hydrogen peroxide stable contact lens is described, in which a contact lens contacts with a peroxide solution in a container, and a decomposition means is provided in said container, which means is adapted to permit the contact lens to have a cumulative (% peroxide) (min) exposure from the time said decomposition meant contacts said peroxide containing solution, time zero, over a period of no greater than 12 hours of at least 20% peroxide·minute.

Treatment chamber for separating compounds from aqueous effluent
Janssen Robert A,John Glen Ahles,Thomas David Ehlert,John Gavin Macdonald,Earl C. Mccraw,Patrick Sean Mcnichols,Paul Warren Rasmussen,Steve Roffers +7 more
- 09 Jul 2008
TL;DR: In this paper, the treatment chambers use ultrasonic energy and an electrode potential to provide efficient and effective removal of compounds from aqueous effluents, such as textile effluent.

Peroxide disinfection method
Nicolson Paul C,Kenneth R. Seamons,Fu-Pao Tsao,Larry A. Alvord,Earl C. Mccraw +4 more
- 22 Jan 1993
TL;DR: In this article, a method of disinfecting a hydrogen peroxide stable material by contacting said material with a solution containing solution and a decomposition of the solution is described, which is adapted to permit said material to have a cumulative 20% (peroxide) exposure from the time said decomposition is used.
