E. Wright,Adam Balkcum,H. Bohlen,M. Cattelino,L. Cox,M. Cusick,L. Falce,F. Friedlander,B. Stockwell,L. Zitelli +9 more
- 12 May 2003
TL;DR: In this article, a high-efficiency, multiple-beam klystron (MBK) was designed for the DESY Tera Electron volt Superconducting Linear Accelerator (TESLA) in Hamburg, Germany.
High-power four-cavity S-band multiple-beam klystron design
Khanh T. Nguyen,David K. Abe,Dean E. Pershing,Baruch Levush,E. Wright,H. Bohlen,A. Staprans,Lou Zitelli,David Smithe,John Pasour,A.N. Vlasov,Thomas M. Antonsen,K. Eppley,John Petillo +13 more
TL;DR: In this article, a collector and a four-cavity circuit for a multiple-beam klystron (MBK) operating in the fundamental mode at a center frequency of 3.27 GHz (S-band) were designed to be used with a 32-A 45kV magnetically shielded eight-beam electron gun currently under fabrication.
High-power broadband cascaded-TWT development
Khanh T. Nguyen,David K. Abe,Lars D. Ludeking,E. Wright,Baruch Levush,Dean E. Pershing,John Pasour,John Petillo,David Chernin +8 more
- 24 Apr 2012
TL;DR: In this paper, the design of a Ka-band three-beam cascaded serpentine travelling-wave tube (TWT) amplifier is presented, which achieves a peak power of 3.5 kW with saturated gain of 16 dB and an instantaneous bandwidth of 30% in a circuit length of ≤ 4.5 cm.
