Recent progress on the development of a multiple-beam klystron with 13% bandwidth
David K. Abe,F.N. Wood,Baruch Levush,Dean E. Pershing,E. Wright,Khanh T. Nguyen,R.E. Myers,Edward Eisen +7 more
- 01 Jun 2009
TL;DR: Nguyen et al. as mentioned in this paper proposed an 18-beam multiple-beam klystron (MBK) with a 7-cavity circuit, which achieved a peak rf output power of > 500 kW, an instantaneous bandwidth of 13% (1 dB), and high duty operation up to 2.5%.
Experimental results from an 8-beam, 5-cavity multiple-beam klystron with 6% bandwidth
David K. Abe,J.X. Qiu,Baruch Levush,Dean E. Pershing,E. Wright,Khanh T. Nguyen,F.N. Wood,R.E. Myers,Edward Eisen,Igor A. Chernyavskiy,A.N. Vlasov +10 more
- 15 Jun 2008
TL;DR: In this article, the results of recent experiments with an eight-beam, five-cavity multiple-beam klystron (MBK) were described and compared with results of numerical modeling using the MAGIC 3D particle-in-cell code and the 2.5D large-signal code, TESLA.
tion of Millimeter Wave Vacuum The Naval Research Laboratory
Baruch Levush,Alexander N. Vlasov,Naval Resear,Igor A. Chernyavskiy,Simon J. Cooke,John Pasour,Khanh T. Nguyen,E. Wright,John Petillo,George Stantchev +9 more
- 01 Jan 2015
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors point out areas where improved models and improved models can be used to improve the performance of the development of the developm wave vacuum electronic devices (DVEV).
Multiple‐Beam Amplifier Development at the Naval Research Laboratory
Khanh T. Nguyen,Dean E. Pershing,D. K. Abe,B. Levush,F.N. Wood,A.N. Vlasov,Thomas M. Antonsen,Jeffrey P. Calame,John Pasour,M. Cusick,M. Catellino,E. Wright +11 more
- 01 Dec 2003
TL;DR: In this paper, the design of an eight-beam, four-cavity multiple-beam klystron (MBK) to be operated in S-band is presented.
1.7 kW power booster TWT at 35 GHz
Baruch Levush,David K. Abe,Alexander N. Vlasov,Igor A. Chernyavskiy,Simon J. Cooke,John Pasour,J. Legarra,Khanh T. Nguyen,Dean E. Pershing,E. Wright,J. Hanna,A. Garcia,Takuji Kimura,P. Lugos,C. Meyer,J. Luis Ramirez-Aldana,B. Stockwell,R. Begum,David Chernin +18 more
- 25 May 2014
TL;DR: In this article, the development of a broadband multi-kW Ka-band PPM focused TWT driver-booster combination is reported, where the driver is an existing broadband coupled-cavity TWT1, employing a 2 stage depressed collector.
