Glandular and extraglandular expression of the Fas-Fas ligand and apoptosis in patients with Sjögren's syndrome
Ryutaro Matsumura,K Umemiya,M Kagami,Hisao Tomioka,E Tanabe,Takao Sugiyama,M Sueishi,A. Nakajima,Azuma M,Ko Okumura,Takayuki Sumida +10 more
TL;DR: The findings of this study suggest that the Fas-Fas ligand system may play a role in the pathogenesis of the sialoadenitis and interstitial nephritis of Sjögren's syndrome.

Expression of TNF-related apoptosis inducing ligand (TRAIL) on infiltrating cells and of TRAIL receptors on salivary glands in patients with Sjögren's syndrome.
Ryutaro Matsumura,K Umemiya,M Kagami,Hisao Tomioka,E Tanabe,Takao Sugiyama,M Sueishi,Nobuhiko Kayagaki,Hideo Yagita,Ko Okumura +9 more
TL;DR: It is suggested that TRAIL and TRAIL-R system may play a role in the pathogenesis of lymphocytic sialadenitis in patients with Sjögren's syndrome.

[Immunohistochemical identification of infiltrating mononuclear cells in tubulointerstitial nephritis associated with Sjögren's syndrome].
TL;DR: Using monoclonal antibodies, immunoperoxidase analysis was performed on eight renal biopsy samples obtained from patients with Sjögren's syndrome-associated tubulointerstitial nephritis, and it was concluded that the same immunological process was probably operative in the renal tubuloInterstitial tissue as in the salivary glands to induce the characteristic tissue changes of Sj Ögren's Syndrome.

Role of JAK2 signal transductional pathway in activation and survival of human peripheral eosinophils by interferon-gamma (IFN-γ)
TL;DR: It is indicated that IFN‐γ induces eosinophil survival and CD69 expression through the activation of JAK2 in peripheral eOSinophils, suggesting that JAK 2 may play a significant role in eos inophil regulation by IFN–γ–IFN‐R interaction.

Expression of ductal Fas antigen in sialoadenitis of Sjögren's syndrome.
Ryutaro Matsumura,M Kagami,Hisao Tomioka,E Tanabe,Takao Sugiyama,M Sueishi,A. Nakajima,Azuma M,Ko Okumura +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, the expression of the Fas antigen on the minor salivary glands of Sjogren's syndrome (SS) patients was examined by an immunohistochemical method using a new monoclonal antibody to the Fas.
