ISOLDE beams of neutron‐rich zinc isotopes: yields, release, decay spectroscopy
U. Köster,T. Behrens,Christoph Clausen,P. Delahaye,V. N. Fedoseyev,L. M. Fraile,Roman Gernhäuser,T. Giles,A. Ionan,T. Kröll,Henryk Mach,B. A. Marsh,M. D. Seliverstov,T. Sieber,E. Siesling,Elisabeth Tengborn,F. Wenander,J. Van de Walle +17 more
- 11 Nov 2005
TL;DR: In this article, the combined use of spallation-neutron induced fission of 238UCx targets and resonant laser ionization provided sufficient suppression of disturbing isobars (mainly gallium and rubidium) to perform decay spectroscopy up to 81Zn.
Status and future perspectives of the hie-isolde project at cern
Yacine Kadi,D. Parchet,Richard Catherall,W. Venturini Delsolaro,E. Siesling,Matthew Fraser,Y. Blumenfeld,Sergio Calatroni,B Goddard,A.P. Bernardes,D. Voulot,Lloyd Williams +11 more
- 16 May 2012
TL;DR: The High Intensity and Energy (HIE)-ISOLDE project as mentioned in this paper aims at several important upgrades of the present ISOLDE radioactive beam facility at CERN, including the addition of superconducting cavities.
ISOL beams of hafnium isotopes and isomers
Ulli Köster,O. Arndt,Richard Catherall,J. G. Correia,B. Crepieux,Robert Eichler,Pascal Fernier,L. M. Fraile,S. Hennrich,Karl Johnston,Strahinja Lukić,Jörg Neuhausen,B. S. Nara Singh,B. Pfeiffer,E. Siesling +14 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors describe the ISOL beams of hafnium and show that they can be produced at ISOLDE by 1.4 GeV proton-induced spallation in Ta and W foils.
Axial and triaxial degrees of freedom in 72Zn
Stefanie Hellgartner,D. Mücher,Kathrin Wimmer,V. Bildstein,J. L. Egido,Roman Gernhäuser,R. Krücken,A. K. Nowak,M. Zielińska,C. Bauer,M L Lozano Benito,S. Bottoni,H. De Witte,J. Elseviers,D. V. Siebeck,E. Siesling,T. Steinbach,Thierry Stora,M. J. Vermeulen,D. Voulot,N. Warr,Fredrik Wenander +36 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the unstable N=42 nucleus 72Zn has been studied using multiple safe Coulomb excitation in inverse kinematics, and it was found that the ground state has an average deformation in the γ degree of freedom close to maximum triaxiality.

- 01 Dec 2015
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors report on the recent advancements of the HIE-ISOLDE linac technical systems involving SRF technology, focusing on the cavity production, on the experience with the assembly of the first cryomodule (CM1), and on the results of a hardware commissioning campaign.
