TL;DR: Laroscopy is an emergent safe and effective technique for both diagnostic and therapeutic purposes in selected stable abdominal penetrating or blunt trauma patients, however, these results need to be put in relation with the level of the centre and the expertise of the surgeon.

TL;DR: A 59-year-old hemodynamically stable female admitted following a domestic fall with blunt left sided thoraco-abdominal trauma has multiple comorbidities including hepatitis C virus positive splenomegaly, chronic psychosis with a history of opioid and alcohol abuse.
