Life skills are proven to be able to improve human civilization.  Improving literacy culture is one way to develop human life skills.  The National Literacy Movement/ Gerakan Literasi Nasional (GLN) initiated by the government is an effort to realize it.  SDIT Salsabila 2 Klaseman has a Class Literacy Movement/ Gerakan Literasi Kelas (GLK) program.  The limited space available is not a reason to discourage GLK.  This type of research was case study field research.  The institution studied was SDIT Salsabila 2 Klaseman.  The subjects consisted teachers, principals, students and parents.  Data was obtained by observation, interviews and documentation steps.  Analysis was performed by using data reduction techniques, data display, triangulation, and conclusion drawing/verification.  The data showed that the main purpose of GLK was to intensify the culture of school literacy, library revitalization, and maintain the stability of school library functions.  The technical implementation is by creating a class library in each class, fostering a sense of belonging to the class library, supplying books from the school library to the class library, providing educational playgrounds in the area of the class library, giving rewards for students who are diligent in reading, achievements are informed in public, and explore the student guardian support. The problems that arise are the lack of teacher exemplariness, lack of consistency, supply of books from school libraries is still small, and the system of re-education has not been orderly.

Literacy Culture Development through Class Library at SDIT Salsabila 2 Klaseman Ngaglik Sleman

Upaya mewujudkan program Net Zero Emissions (NZE) untuk menurunkan emisi Gas Rumah Kaca (GRK) sebesar 29% ditahun 2030 sesuai dengan Rencana Umum Energi Nasional (RUEN) yaitu dengan meningkatkan bauran Energi Baru dan Terbarukan (EBT). Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan yaitu dengan mengkonversi biomassa menjadi bahan bakar alternatif. Indonesia sebagai negara penghasil sawit terbesar menghasilkan limbah Tandan Kosong Kelapa Sawit (TKKS) sebanyak 23%. TKKS mengandung 37 % selulosa, 27% hemiselulosa dan 15% lignin. Kandungan tersebut mengindikasikan TKKS dapat dimanfaatkan menjadi bahan bakar coke-hybrid sebagai pengganti batubara. Beberapa penelitian telah mengidentifikasi potensi TKKS sebagai EBT dengan berbagai metode sesuai SNI 01-6235-2000 sebagai standar coke komersial. Untuk memaksimalkan nilai kalor coke-hybrid TKKS, pada penelitian ini dilakukan blending TKKS dengan plastik polypropylene (PP) yang berpotensi dapat meningkatkan nilai kalor coke-hybrid. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh perbandingan massa TKKS dengan plastik polypropylene terhadap proximate dan nilai kalor coke-hybrid   dengan  komposisi massa 9:1, 8:2, dan 7:3 menggunakan metode co-pirolisis pada temperatur 500 C. Hasil karakterisasi menunjukan bahwa kandungan coke-hybrid  memiliki kadar air 5,67±1,2%, volatile matter 16,72±2,1%, kadar abu 5,84±1,4%, fixed carbon 71,75±0,37% dengan nilai kalor maksimum 6898,74 kal/g. Berdasarkan hasil analisis terhadap coke-hybrid  menunjukkan adanya peningkatan nilai kalor seiring dengan pertambahan massa PP.

Kinerja coke hybrid berbasis tandan kosong kelapa sawit dan limbah plastik polypropylene yang diproduksi dengan metode co pirolisis

Research has been conducted on the production and characterization of activated charcoal of palm kernel shells (Elaeis Guineensis Jacq.) by microwave. This study aims to determine the efficiency of charcoal production and its quality after microwave activation so that the test results can provide information that palm kernel shells can be utilized as raw material for making briquettes as an alternative fuel. The experimental stages include drying of palm kernel shells, carbonization with a carbonization reactor, grinding, sieving with 70 mesh and 80 mesh sieves in stages, and activation with microwave. Charcoal characterization includes moisture content, ash content, volatile matter, fixed carbon, and calorific value. The results showed that the production efficiency of the carbonization reactor was 62.2%, the charcoal formation rate was 4.4444 kg/hour, and the material requirement rate was 7.1429 kg/hour. Charcoal can be activated by microwave at 150 watts for 2 minutes, 3 minutes, and 4 minutes. Activated charcoal decreased in moisture content from 5.900% to 4.4834%, decreased volatile matter from 19.1357% to 14.4250%, and increased ash content from 6.1234% to 7.5697%. Fix carbon increased from 68.8409% to 73.5219%, and the calorific value of charcoal increased significantly from 5400.00 cal/gr to 7532.27 cal/gr. It can be concluded that microwave-activated charcoal meets the quality requirements as an ingredient for making briquettes as an alternative fuel. 

Production and Characterization of Microwave-Activated Palm Kernel Shell (Elaeis Guineensis Jacq.) Activated Charcoal

Charcoal briquettes from cocoa shell have been producting. Composition of glue and cacao shell as well as their microstructure (pores and grains) are optimized in order to obtain briquettes with high calor energy. The optimation of microstructure is performed by microwave activation. High glue content affect to the briquette’s moisture. The composition of glue material and cocoa shell charcoal which give highest calor energy found in this research is 5:95 %. From microstructure evaluation we found that at the pores diameter of 552 micrometer in average and grain size of  152 micrometer, the average energy of activated charcoal cocoa shell is 10,321 kkal/kg.
