Effect of draw ratio and temperature on the strain-induced crystallization of poly (ethylene terephthalate) at fast draw rates
Arumugam Mahendrasingam,C. Martin,Watson Fuller,D.J. Blundell,R.J. Oldman,J.L. Harvie,Duncan Henry Mackerron,Christian Riekel,Per Engström +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, wide angle X-ray scattering (WAXS) data recorded during the drawing of poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET) under industrial processing conditions was analyzed in terms of changes in the degree of polymer orientation and crystallinity over a wide range of draw temperatures and draw ratios.

Observation of a transient structure prior to strain-induced crystallization in poly(ethylene terephthalate)
Arumugam Mahendrasingam,C. Martin,Watson Fuller,D.J. Blundell,R.J. Oldman,Duncan Henry Mackerron,J.L. Harvie,Christian Riekel +7 more
TL;DR: Using time-resolved X-ray diffraction at the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility, this article observed a highly oriented weak transient diffraction peak which persists for about 0.2 seconds prior to strain-induced crystallization during uniaxial drawing of poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET) under industrial processing conditions.

Orientation prior to crystallisation during drawing of poly(ethylene terephthalate)
D.J. Blundell,Arumugam Mahendrasingam,C. Martin,Watson Fuller,Duncan Henry Mackerron,J.L. Harvie,R.J. Oldman,Christian Riekel +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, wide angle X-ray scattering data have been recorded during the drawing of poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET) using a wide range of draw rates (0.05 −12 −1 ), temperatures (90 −120°C) and draw ratios.
