Interconnected logistic networks and protocols: simulation-based efficiency assessment
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors model the asynchronous shipment and creation of containers within an interconnected network of services, find the best path routing for each container and minimise the use of transportations means.

Environmental and economic issues arising from the pooling of SMEs' supply chains: case study of the food industry in Western France
TL;DR: In this article, the authors applied the pooling concept to a collection of small and medium-sized western France food suppliers serving the same retail chain, and compared the efficiency of the existing transport organisation with various pooling scenarios.

A Conceptual Framework for Designing Non-Programmed Decision Support Systems in the Context of Supply Webs
Driss Hakimi,Benoit Montreuil,Olivier Labarthe +2 more
- 25 May 2011
TL;DR: A conceptual framework is introduced that blends a variety of concepts into one consistent body of knowledge around the design of decision support systems for supply chain management to provide an efficient non-programmed multi-dimensional decision support.

Retail store demand estimation for supply network simulation
Driss Hakimi,Benoit Montreuil,Olivier Labarthe +2 more
- 01 Jan 2010
TL;DR: In this article, a mathematical procedure is proposed for store demand generation, composed of consecutive steps that estimate the global demand based on the orders received, and then this demand is systematically disaggregated over the multiple supply network echelons until the store level.
