The Role of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Cancer Immunotherapy: Current Status and Future Directions.
Jin-Xin Xie,Hui-Ming Huang,Xing-Xing Li,Lishan Ouyang,Longyan Wang,Dongxia Liu,Xue-Jiao Wei,Peng Tan,Peng-Fei Tu,Zhongdong Hu +9 more
TL;DR: TCM with immunomodulatory stimulation could be the key factor to achieve benefits from immunotherapy for patients with non-inflammatory, or "cold", tumors.

Chinese dragon's blood ethyl acetate extract suppresses gastric cancer progression through induction of apoptosis and autophagy mediated by activation of MAPK and downregulation of the mTOR‐Beclin1 signalling cascade
Lishan Ouyang,Jiaqi Li,Xiao-Nan Chen,Hui-Ming Huang,Ying-Ying Tian,Xingxing Li,Daoran Pang,Xue-Jiao Wei,Jin-Xin Xie,Longyan Wang,Dongxia Liu,Peng-Fei Tu,Jun Li,Zhongdong Hu +13 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that Chinese dragon's blood ethyl acetate extract (CDBEE) suppressed the proliferative and metastatic potential of human gastric cancer MGC-803 and HGC-27 cells and exhibited potent anti-GC efficacy in vivo without obvious toxicity or side effects.

Usenamine A induces apoptosis and autophagic cell death of human hepatoma cells via interference with the Myosin-9/actin-dependent cytoskeleton remodeling.
Ailin Yang,Kewu Zeng,Hui-Ming Huang,Dongxia Liu,Xiaomin Song,Yi Qian,Xuelong Yu,Dan Liu,Xiaojun Zha,Hongbing Zhang,Xingyun Chai,Peng-Fei Tu,Zhongdong Hu +12 more
TL;DR: In this article , the authors investigated the anti-hepatoma effect of usenamine A and the underlying molecular mechanisms, along with evaluating the therapeutic potential of targeting Myosin-9 in HCC.

Tumor necrosis factor receptor-associated protein 1(TRAP1) regulates genes involved in cell cycle and metastases.
Dongxia Liu,Dongxia Liu,Jiangting Hu,Jackeline Agorreta,Jackeline Agorreta,Alfredo Cesario,Yuanchao Zhang,Adrian L. Harris,Kevin C. Gatter,Francesco Pezzella +9 more
TL;DR: Pathway map analysis shows that TRAP1 controls cell cycle activity through the tumor necrosis factor pathways, suggesting that in many tumors TRAP 1 could activate proliferation whilst inhibiting metastatic spread.
TRAP1 Regulates Proliferation, Mitochondrial Function and has Prognostic Significance in NSCLC
Jackeline Agorreta,Jianting Hu,Dongxia Liu,Domenico Delia,Helen Turley,David J P Ferguson,Francisco J. Iborra,Maria J. Pajares,Marta Larrayoz,Isabel Zudaire,Ruben Pio,Luis M. Montuenga,Adrian L. Harris,Kevin C. Gatter,Francesco Pezzella +14 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that TRAP1 impacts the viability of NSCLC cells, and that its expression is prognostic inNSCLC.
