TL;DR: A new regimen, in addition to standard treatment, for severe chemical burns is proposed, which involves tumor necrosis factor alpha inhibition promptly after the accident, prophylactic maximal lowering of the intraocular pressure, and keratoprosthesis implantation in a later quiet state.
