A facile way to regenerate FePO4∙2H2O precursor from spent lithium iron phosphate cathode powder: Spontaneous precipitation and phase transformation in an acidic medium
Wenbo Lou,Wenbo Lou,Yang Zhang,Ying Zhang,Shili Zheng,Pei Sun,Wang Xiaojian,Qiao Shan,Jianzhong Li,Yi Zhang,Dong-yan Liu,Marco Wenzel,Jan J. Weigand +12 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors studied the phase transformation from amorphous to crystalline LiFePO4 and its effects on precipitation and the properties of the precipitate, and found that phase transformation led to fast increased precipitation efficiency, morphology evolution, and composition change, which benefited the consistency of iron phosphate.

A feasible process for recycling valuable metals from LiNi0.5Co0.2Mn0.3O2 cathode materials of spent Li-ion batteries.
TL;DR: Li et al. as discussed by the authors used a route of sulfated reduction roasting - selective Li water leaching - efficiency acid leaching of Ni, Co, Mn - extraction separation - crystallization.
