Virtual Polarization Detection: A Vector Signal Sensing Method for Cognitive Radios
Fangfang Liu,Chunyan Feng,Caili Guo,Yue Wang,Dong Wei +4 more
- 16 May 2010
TL;DR: A Virtual Polarization Detection (VPD) method based on the vector signal processing, is presented in this paper for the effective spectrum sensing of cognitive radios and results show that the VPD method improves the spectrum sensing performance significantly.

A Power Amplifier Energy Efficient Polarization Modulation Scheme Based on the Optimal Pre-Compensation
TL;DR: To improve Power Amplifier (PA) energy efficiency, a Polarization Modulation (PM) scheme in wireless communication is proposed and can let the PA work in its nonlinear region without suffering distortion.

An optimal pre-compensation based joint polarization-amplitude-phase modulation scheme for the power amplifier energy efficiency improvement
Dong Wei,Chunyan Feng,Caili Guo +2 more
- 09 Jun 2013
TL;DR: Simulation under the same symbol error rate and channel state shows the JPAPM can improve the PA energy efficiency significantly compared with the traditional quadrature amplitude modulation.

Polarization Spectrum Sensing Scheme for Cognitive Radios
Fangfang Liu,Chunyan Feng,Caili Guo,Yue Wang,Dong Wei +4 more
- 24 Sep 2009
TL;DR: A novel polarization spectrum holes sensing scheme is proposed for cognitive radios, which exploits transmit and receive polarizations taking into account the interference constraint of PU and the signal to interference noise ratio (SINR) demands of SU.

An energy efficient Polarization Modulation scheme for nonlinear Power Amplifier
Dong Wei,Chunyan Feng,Caili Guo,Liu Fangfang +3 more
- 01 Dec 2012
TL;DR: To improve the Power Amplifier (PA) energy efficiency, a Polarization Modulation scheme that uses the Polarization State (PS) as the information bearing parameter is proposed and an Optimal Constellation Pre-compensation (OCP) algorithm is presented.
