Ionic crosslinking of alginate/carboxymethyl chitosan fluorescent hydrogel for bacterial detection and sterilization.
Kun Yan,Yekai Wan,Fei-Long Xu,Jing Lu,Chenguang Yang,Xiufang Li,Zhentan Lu,Xungai Wang,Dong Wang +8 more
TL;DR: In this article , a polysaccharide-based fluorescent hydrogel with multi-responsiveness simply implemented by concurrent effects of ionic crosslinking/rehydration processes is presented.

Photopolymerized multifunctional sodium alginate-based hydrogel for antibacterial and coagulation dressings.
Jia-Qiang Zhang,Siwei Zhang,Chao Liu,Zhentan Lu,Mufan Li,Christopher Hurren,Dong Wang +6 more
TL;DR: A facile one-pot photo-crosslinking method to prepare multifunctional sodium alginate-based hydrogel dressings for effective wound healing showed the sodium alginate-based composite hydrogel as a candidate multifunctional dressing that exhibits excellent stretchability and compressibility, viscoelasticity, and suitable tissue-like adhesion.

Gelatinase-responsive photonic crystal membrane for pathogenic bacteria detection and application in vitro health diagnosis.
TL;DR: Wang et al. as mentioned in this paper used gelatinase-responsive photonic crystal membrane (PCM) to detect pathogenic bacteria in artificial wound fluid and urine, and the results show that PCM is well promising platform for selective identifying and rapid detecting pathogenic organisms in vitro diagnosis.
