Fault Diagnosis Scheme for Open-Phase Fault of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor Drive using Extended Kalman Filter
Sung-Guk Ahn,Byoung-Gun Park,Rae-Young Kim,Dong-Seok Hyun +3 more
- 20 Apr 2011
TL;DR: In this paper, a fault diagnosis scheme for PMSM drives has been proposed to maintain control performance under a switch open-phase fault of inverter, where the stator resistances of PMSM are estimated by Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) in real time and can appear differently according to the location of fault occurrence to check the fault detection and identification.
A novel auxiliary resonant commutated pole inverter topology with zero current turn-off switching
Min-Hong Kim,Yo-Han Lee,Dong-Seok Hyun +2 more
- 22 Jun 1997
TL;DR: In this article, a novel auxiliary resonant commutated pole inverter (ARCPI) topology is proposed, which can achieve ZCS at turn-off with high frequency transformers, switches, and capacitors.

On-line tuning of parameter variations of induction motor for high performance drives
Ha-Yong Kim,Myoung-Ho Shin,Dong-Seok Hyun +2 more
- 12 Oct 1998
TL;DR: In this paper, a simple on-line tuning scheme of inductance for rotor flux orientation control is proposed, where inductance is estimated and tuned by only stator flux and stator current.

Modeling and Control of a Grid Connected VSI using a Delta Connected LCL Filter
Sang-In Lee,Kui-Jun Lee,Dong-Seok Hyun +2 more
- 01 Jan 2009
TL;DR: Experimental results exhibit that it is advantageous to control grid currents for a system with a delta connected LCL filter and a comparative study of capacitor current harmonics of a delta connection and a wye connection is included.

A simple control scheme for DC output ripple voltage suppression in BIFRED with a small-sized energy storage capacitor
Jung-Bum Kim,Nam-Ju Park,Dong-Yun Lee,Dong-Seok Hyun +3 more
- 02 Nov 2004
TL;DR: The proposed pulse width control method can be effectively used to suppress the low frequency ripple appeared in the DC output and still shows generally good performance such as low THD of input line current and high power factor.
