Sungho Nam,Sungho Nam,Jooyeok Seo,Hyemi Han,Hwajeong Kim,Suk Gyu Hahm,Moonhor Ree,Yeong-Soon Gal,Thomas D. Anthopoulos,Donal D. C. Bradley,Donal D. C. Bradley,Youngkyoo Kim +11 more
TL;DR: In this paper, an inverted polymer:fullerene solar cells have been successfully developed with a power conversion efficiency of over 10% using an ionic polyacetylene-based conjugated polymer, poly(N-dodecyl-2-ethynylpyridinium bromide), as an interfacial dipole layer.

Significant improvements in the optical gain properties of oriented liquid crystalline conjugated polymer films
Ruidong Xia,Mariano Campoy-Quiles,G. Heliotis,Paul N. Stavrinou,K.S Whitehead,Donal D. C. Bradley +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors demonstrate amplified spontaneous emission (ASE) in optically pumped aligned planar asymmetric waveguides with fluorene-based conjugated polymer poly(9,9-dioctylfluorene)-co-benzothiadiazole (F8BT).

Characterization of a high-thermal-stability spiroanthracenefluorene-based blue-light-emitting polymer optical gain medium
Ruidong Xia,G. Heliotis,Mariano Campoy-Quiles,Paul N. Stavrinou,Donal D. C. Bradley,Doojin Vak,Dong-Yu Kim +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, solid-state optical gain characteristics of a spiroanthracenefluorene polymer, namely, poly(9-spiro(10,10-bis(2-ethylhexyl)-10H-anthracene) (PEHSAF), specifically designed for thermal stability, were reported.

Investigations on the grating dynamics in a fast photorefractive guest–host polymer
Uwe Hofmann,Andreas Schreiber,Dietrich Haarer,Stephan J. Zilker,Andreas Bacher,Donal D. C. Bradley,M. Redecker,M. Inbasekaran,Weishi Wu,E. P. Woo +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the photorefractive grating dynamics are investigated in detail and a new approach to characterize the temporal behavior of these processes is proposed, by performing an inverse Laplace transform analysis using the algorithm CONTIN.

The change in refractive index of poly(9,9-dioctylfluorene) due to the adoption of the β-phase chain conformation
TL;DR: In this article, a semi-empirical calculation of the change in refractive index due to the presence of β-phase chains is undertaken, showing that the spectral response of Δn is largely governed by the emergence of a characteristic absorption band associated with the presence this article.
