- 01 Jan 2005
TL;DR: The angiogenic response induced by acellular femoral matrices implanted in vivo on to the chick embryo chorioallantoic membrane, a useful model for such investigation, was shown to be comparable with that of fibroblast growth factor-2 (FGF-2), a well-knownAngiogenic cytokine.

Chapter 7 – Sir Frank Macfarlane Burnet and the Clonal Selection Theory of Antibody Formation
Domenico Ribatti
- 01 Jan 2017
TL;DR: The clonal selection theory is a theory of antibody synthesis capable of bridging the gap between physiological findings, such as the kinetics of antibody production, self-tolerance, and immunological memory on the one hand, and the newest ideas on synthesis of proteins, on the other.

Anti-angiogenic properties of calcium trifluoroacetate
TL;DR: In vitro experiments demonstrate that calcium trifluoroacetate induced a reversible increase in the levels of intracellular calcium under basal conditions and prevented calcium signaling induced by VEGF, the first to suggest that CaTFAc may be useful for the treatment of diseases caused by enhanced angiogenesis.
