TL;DR: Investigating relationships between alexithymia, suicide ideation, affective temperaments and homocysteine levels among drug-naïve adult outpatients with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder in an everyday ‘real world’ clinical setting concluded that a lexithymic PTSD outpat patients may be characterised by higher disorder severity and difficulty in identifying feelings that may be linked to increased suicide Ideation.

TL;DR: During a negative emotion task, euthymic BD-I patients and non-affected first-degree relatives shared an abnormalactivation of a limbic area (Left insula) coupled with a reduced activation of a parietal region (Right supramarginal gyrus), thus suggesting a trait-like anomalous processing of affective contents.
