Melatonin synergistically enhances cisplatin‐induced apoptosis via the dephosphorylation of ERK/p90 ribosomal S6 kinase/heat shock protein 27 in SK‐OV‐3 cells
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that melatonin enhances cisplatin‐induced apoptosis via the inactivation of ERK/p90RSK/HSP27 cascade in SK‐OV‐3 cells as a potent synergist to cisPlatin treatment.

Cyclooxygenase-2/prostaglandin E2 pathway mediates icariside II induced apoptosis in human PC-3 prostate cancer cells
Keun Sung Lee,Hyo-Jeong Lee,Kwang Seok Ahn,Sun-Hee Kim,Dongwoo Nam,Dae Keun Kim,Do Young Choi,Kyoo Seok Ahn,Junxuan Lu,Sung-Hoon Kim +9 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that IS initiates the inhibition of COX-2/PGE(2) pathway and then induces apoptosis mainly via mitochondrial dependent pathway in PC-3 prostate cancer cells as a potent cancer chemotherapeutic agent.

Analgesic effect of electroacupuncture on inflammatory pain in the rat model of collagen-induced arthritis: Mediation by cholinergic and serotonergic receptors
TL;DR: It is suggested that low frequency EA can relieve inflammatory pain in CIA and the analgesic effect of EA can be mediated by muscarinic cholinergic receptor, 5-HT1a and5-HT3 receptors, but not by 5- HT2 receptor.

Reflexology for the Symptomatic Treatment of Breast Cancer: A Systematic Review
TL;DR: The existing evidence does not convincingly show that reflexology is effective for breast cancer care, and future studies seem warranted to include adequate control interventions.

Acupuncture suppresses intrastriatal hemorrhage-induced apoptotic neuronal cell death in rats.
Nam Hun Cho,Jae-Dong Lee,Byung Shik Cheong,Do Young Choi,Hyun Kyung Chang,Taeck Hyun Lee,Min Chul Shin,Mal Soon Shin,Jongseok Lee,Chang-Ju Kim +9 more
TL;DR: It can be suggested that acupunctural treatment, especially at the Zusanli acupoint, may aid in the recovery following central nervous system sequellae following intracerebral hemorrhage.
