Soil less medium for culturing and multiplication of root knot and cyst nematodes for basic and applied studies
TL;DR: The present study demonstrated an approach to culture Meloidogyne incognita, M. graminicola and Heterodera avenae employing the growth pouches in a soil less medium that can assist to overcome some of the problems of in vitro culturing of nematodes with a possibility to control the time and duration of Nematode infection.

A method for the control of nematodes in plants
Uma Rao,Pradeep K. Papolu,Nagavara Prasad Gantasala,Divya Kamaraju,Prakash Banakar,Mukesh Kumar +5 more
- 14 Dec 2013
TL;DR: In this article, a double-stranded RNA (ds RNA) mediated gene silencing of root knot nematodes has been proposed for reducing the number of reproducing population and progenies per individual.
Cloning and characterization of two neuropeptide genes from cereal cyst nematode, Heterodera avanae from India.
Prasoon Kumar Thakur,Amita Sharma,S. B. Rao,Mukesh Kumar,G Np,Nidhi Tyagi,Divya Kamaraju,Pradeep K. Papolu,Prakash Banakar,Uma Rao +9 more
TL;DR: For the first time, two neuropeptide genes (flp-12 and flp-16) are cloned and characterized from the cDNA library of feeding female of H. avenae and could be interesting and potential targets for functional validation to explore their utility for designing management strategies.
