TL;DR: A 4-year-old female with ALL on standard-risk maintenance chemotherapy had been experiencing irritability with outbursts so severe that she was unable to attend kindergarten, and was able to completely resolve one child's steroid-induced mood disorder with the use of a selective serotonin-reuptake inhibitor (SSRI).
