Strain and pH facilitated artificial photosynthesis in monolayer MoS2 nanosheets
TL;DR: In this article, the effect of shear strain on the concerted interplay of all the factors controlling the photocatalytic ability, such as suitable band edges straddling the redox potentials for CO2 reduction with the water and oxygen evolution reactions, optical absorbance and conductivity, carrier mobilities, carrier mobility ratios, and exciton binding energies, have been comprehensively studied on monolayer MoS2 nanosheets and calibrated, using density functional theory, to ascertain the type and magnitude of strain under which the optical absorbances and conductivities,

Predicting Irrigation Water Quality Indices Based on Data-Driven Algorithms: Case Study in Semiarid Environment
TL;DR: In this paper , five machine learning (ML) models, namely linear regression (LR), random subspace (RSS), additive regression (AR), reduced error pruning tree (REPTree), and support vector machine (SVM), have been developed and tested for predicting of six irrigation water quality (IWQ) indices such as sodium adsorption ratio (SAR), percent sodium (%Na), permeability index (PI), Kelly ratio (KR), soluble sodium percentage (SSP), and magnesium hazards (MH) in groundwater of the Nand Samand catchment of Rajasthan.
Ordeal or opportunity: IDPS journey through COVID-19 pandemic
TL;DR: In this article , a case study describes the functioning of the International Delhi Public School (IDPS) Akhnoor, Jammu and Kashmir, India, through the COVID-19 global crisis.
