Sulfidic Anion Concentrations on Early Earth for Surficial Origins-of-Life Chemistry
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors combine literature photochemistry models with simple equilibrium chemistry calculations to place constraints on the plausible range of concentrations of sulfidic anions available in surficial aquatic reservoirs on early Earth due to outgassing of SO$_ 2$ and H$_2$S and their dissolution into shallow surface water reservoirs like lakes.

An Upper Limit on the Albedo of HD 209458b: Direct Imaging Photometry with the MOST Satellite
Jason F. Rowe,Jaymie M. Matthews,Sara Seager,Rainer Kuschnig,David B. Guenther,Anthony F. J. Moffat,Slavek M. Rucinski,Dimitar Sasselov,Gordon A. H. Walker,W. W. Weiss +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the MOST data was used to obtain a lower-precision direct imaging of the transiting exoplanetary system HD 209458, which is half as bright as the Earth.

Tajhmady +32 more
TL;DR: In this article, the period-Luminosity relation of 481 Cepheids with 3 millions two colour measurements in the Large Magellanic Cloud and the Small Magelli Cloud obtained as a by-product of the EROS microlensing survey was studied.

DIRECT Distances to Nearby Galaxies Using Detached Eclipsing Binaries and Cepheids. I. Variables in the Field M31B
TL;DR: The DIRECT project as discussed by the authors used detached eclipsing binaries (DEBs) and Cepheids to obtain the direct distances to two important galaxies in the cosmological distance ladder.

Relative photometry of HAT-P-1b occultations
B. Béky,Matthew J. Holman,Ronald L. Gilliland,Gáspár Á. Bakos,Joshua N. Winn,Robert W. Noyes,Dimitar Sasselov +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the geometric albedo of the transiting exoplanet HAT-P-1b was constrained by measuring the planet to star flux ratio near opposition, which is strongly linked to its atmospheric temperature gradient.
