RNA Sequencing Analyses of Gene Expression during Epstein-Barr Virus Infection of Primary B Lymphocytes.
Chong Wang,Difei Li,Difei Li,Luyao Zhang,Luyao Zhang,Sizun Jiang,Jun Liang,Yohei Narita,Isabella Hou,Qian Zhong,Zeguang Zheng,Haipeng Xiao,Benjamin E. Gewurz,Mingxiang Teng,Bo Zhao +14 more
TL;DR: Key pathways that EBV usurps to enable B cell growth and transformation are identified and a significant enrichment of pathways involved in cell proliferation, DNA repair, metabolism, and antiviral responses are identified.

Primary effusion lymphoma enhancer connectome links super-enhancers to dependency factors.
Chong Wang,Luyao Zhang,Luyao Zhang,Liangru Ke,Liangru Ke,Weiyue Ding,Sizun Jiang,Difei Li,Yohei Narita,Isabella Hou,Jun Liang,Shijun Li,Haipeng Xiao,Eva Gottwein,Kenneth M. Kaye,Mingxiang Teng,Bo Zhao +16 more
TL;DR: The H3K27ac HiChIP data is produced to generate the PEL enhancer connectome, which links enhancers and promoters in PEL genome-wide, and identifies more than 8000 genomic interactions in each PEL cell line.
Genome-wide CRISPR-based gene knockout screens reveal cellular factors and pathways essential for nasopharyngeal carcinoma
Chong Wang,Sizun Jiang,Liangru Ke,Luyao Zhang,Difei Li,Jun Liang,Yohei Narita,Isabella Hou,Chen-hao Chen,Liang Wei Wang,Qian Zhong,Qian Zhong,Yihong Ling,Xing Lv,Yan-Qun Xiang,Xiang Guo,Mingxiang Teng,Sai Wah Tsao,Benjamin E. Gewurz,Mu Sheng Zeng,Bo Zhao +20 more
TL;DR: It is found that perturbation of these pathways greatly reduces the growth of NPC cell lines but does not affect growth of SV40-immortalized normal nasopharyngeal epithelial cells, suggesting that targeting these pathways/proteins may hold promise for achieving better treatment of patients with NPC.
A DNA tumor virus globally reprograms host 3D genome architecture to achieve immortal growth
Chong Wang,Xiang-zhi Liu,Jun Liang,Yohei Narita,Weiyue Ding,Difei Li,Luyao Zhang,Hongbo Wang,Merrin Man Long Leong,Isabella Hou,Catherine Gerdt,Chang Jiang,Qian Zhong,Zhonghui Tang,Carmy Forney,Leah C. Kottyan,Matthew T. Weirauch,Benjamin E. Gewurz,Mu Sheng Zeng,Sizun Jiang,Mingxiang Teng,Bo Zhao +21 more
TL;DR: In this article , Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) immortalization of resting B lymphocytes (RBLs) to lymphoblastoid cell lines (LCLs) models human DNA tumor virus oncogenesis.
TAF Family Proteins and MEF2C Are Essential for Epstein-Barr Virus Super-Enhancer Activity.
Chong Wang,Sizun Jiang,Luyao Zhang,Difei Li,Jun Liang,Yohei Narita,Isabella Hou,Qian Zhong,Benjamin E. Gewurz,Mingxiang Teng,Bo Zhao +10 more
TL;DR: ESEs are clusters of enhancers marked by extraordinarily high and broad chromatin immunoprecipitation followed by deep sequencing (ChIP-seq) signals for H3K27ac or other transcription factors (TFs) and proteins critical for ESE function are identified.
