Molecular engineering on all ortho-linked carbazole/oxadiazole hybrids toward highly-efficient thermally activated delayed fluorescence materials in OLEDs
Wenbo Yuan,Hannan Yang,Mucan Zhang,Die Hu,Shigang Wan,Zijing Li,Changsheng Shi,Ning Sun,Youtian Tao,Wei Huang +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a rational molecular design on twisted all ortho-linked carbazole/oxadiazole (Cz/OXD) hybrids with tunable D-A interactions was presented.

Simple peripheral modification for color tuning of thermally activated delayed fluorescence emitters in OLEDs
TL;DR: Through simple peripheral tert-butyl or methoxy substitution at 3,6position of carbazole to increase electron donating property, emission colors of donor-acceptor (D-A) type thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) emitters are rationally tuned as discussed by the authors.

The electron inductive effect of dual non-conjugated trifluoromethyl acceptors for highly efficient thermally activated delayed fluorescence OLEDs
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors designed and synthesized a highly twisted TADF emitter 2,3,5,6-tetra(3,6,di-tert-butyl-9H-carbazol-9-yl)bis(trifluoromethyl)benzene (4tCzDCF3Ph) by a facile catalyst-free C-N coupling reaction.

N-Benzoimidazole/Oxadiazole Hybrid Universal Electron Acceptors for Highly Efficient Exciplex-Type Thermally Activated Delayed Fluorescence OLEDs.
TL;DR: It is found that the electroluminescent performance forexciplex-type OLEDs as well as the delayed lifetime was dependent with the driving force of both HOMO and LUMO energy offsets on exciplex formation.
Manipulating peripheral non-conjugated substituents in carbazole/oxadiazole hybrid TADF emitters towards high-efficiency OLEDs
TL;DR: In this article, a series of 5CzOXD derivatives have been designed by rationally introducing non-conjugated electron-donating tert-butyl (t-Bu) units at the 3 and 6 positions of carbazole and/or electron-withdrawing trifluoromethyl (CF3), at the para- or meta-positions of the terminal phenyl ring in the diphenyl-1,3,4-oxadiazole group.
