We report a study of self-assembled beta-pleated sheets in B. mori silk fibroin films using thermal analysis and infrared spectroscopy. B. mori silk fibroin may stand as an exemplar of fibrous proteins containing crystalline beta-sheets. Materials were prepared from concentrated solutions (2−5 wt % fibroin in water) and then dried to achieve a less ordered state without beta-sheets. Crystallization of beta-pleated sheets was effected either by heating the films above the glass transition temperature (Tg) and holding isothermally or by exposure to methanol. The fractions of secondary structural components including random coils, alpha-helices, beta-pleated sheets, turns, and side chains were evaluated using Fourier self-deconvolution (FSD) of the infrared absorbance spectra. Pharmaceutical electrospinning and 3D printing scaffold design for bone regeneration.

Bone is a regenerative organ characterized by self-renewal ability. Indeed, it is a very dynamic tissue subjected to continuous remodeling in order to preserve its structure and function. However, in clinical practice, impaired bone healing can be observed in patients and medical intervention is needed to regenerate the tissue via the use of natural bone grafts or synthetic bone grafts. The main elements required for tissue engineering include cells, growth factors and a scaffold material to support them. Three different materials (metals, ceramics, and polymers) can be used to create a scaffold suitable for bone regeneration. Several cell types have been investigated in combination with biomaterials. In this review, we describe the options available for bone regeneration, focusing on tissue engineering strategies based on the use of different biomaterials combined with cells and growth factors.

Strategies for Bone Regeneration: From Graft to Tissue Engineering

The aim of learning English was to develop students’ competence in oral and written communication to research the functional literacy stated in the 2013 Curriculum. This study investigated the link between students' self-esteem and their speaking skills. It employed correlational study. A questionnaire and an oral test were employed to collect data. A questionnaire was utilized to assess the students' self-esteem, and an oral test was employed to assess their speaking abilities. The eleventh graders at SMAN 5 Ogan Komering Ilir were the focus of this study. 103 students selected as a sample from a population of 172. A Pearson Product Moment Correlation method was used to examine the data. The study's findings revealed that r-obtained (0.644) was greater than r-table (0.194) when the p-value (0.000) was less than 0.05. It meant that the null hypothesis (Ho) had been rejected and that the alternative hypothesis (Ho) had been accepted. In other words, there was a link between students' self-esteem and their ability to communicate. It is possible that learners' self-esteem influenced their speaking abilities. As a result, the higher the learners' self-esteem, the better their speaking abilities.

Menyusui adalah proses pemberian susu kepada bayi atau anak kecil dengan air susu ibu (ASI) dari payudara ibu. Menyusui memberikan manfaat yang tidak terhingga pada bayi. Keberhasilan menyusui harus diawali dengan kepekaan terhadap waktu dan posisi yang tepat saat pemberian ASI. Menyusui merupakan proses alamiah, hampir semua ibu dapat menyusui bayinya tanpa bantuan dari orang lain. Namun kenyataannya tidak semua ibu dapat menyusui dengan teknik menyusui yang benar.  Proses pemberian ASI yang benar akan sangat mendukung berhasilnya pemberian ASI eksklusif. Pemberian ASI eksklusif diharapkan mampu meningkatkan status gizi dan kesehatan bayi. Pemberian informasi maupun pendidikan kesehatan sangat dibutuhkan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan mpotivasi ibu dalam memberikan ASI dengan posisi yang benar sehingga mampu memberikan ASI saja tanpa campuran susu formula sehingga pemberian ASI eksklusif dapat terwujud dan meningkat. Tujuan dalam pengabdian ini mengharapkan ibu hamil memahami tentang tehnik menyusu yang benar, mengetahui tentang pengetahuan cara menyusui yang baik dan benar dan manfaat tehnik menyusui yang baik dan benar agar pemberian ASI eksklusif dapat dilakukan. Manfaat dalam pengabdian masyarakat ini dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu hamil dalam bentuk pengabdian masyarakat berupa penyuluhan kesehatan dan dapat merubah perilaku ibu hamil tentang tehnik menyusu yang baik dan benar sehingga pemberian dan keberhasilan ASI eksklusif dapat terwujud. Salah satunya adalah pemanfaatan back up data menggunakan Cloud Computing Google Drive. Google drive merupakan salah satu media yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai akses penyimpanan data berbasis digital sehingga sangat bermanfaat dan memudahkan bagi dunia Pendidikan. Dunia Pendidikan tidak terkecuali SMAN 3 Indrapuri, Aceh Besar mendapati permasalahan terkait penyimpanan data. Selama ini kegiatan penyimpanan data atau dokumen dilakukan secara manual dengan mengumpulkan dokumen maupun data secara hard copy, sehingga muncul permasalahan yakni dokumen yang sulit sekali diakses keberadaan. Kegiatan sosialisasi pemanfaatan penggunaan google drive kepada pelajar dan guru di SMAN 3 Indrapuri, Aceh Besar dilakukan bertujuan untuk dapat memberikan informasi tentang kemudahan teknologi tersebut dan manfaatnya terhadap penyimpanan data maupun dokumen. Agar nantinya para guru dan tenaga kependidikan di SMAN 3 Indrapuri dapat mengetahui kemudahaan penggunaan google drive dalam penyimpanan data secara digital. Kegiatan sosialisasi ini dilakukan menggunakan metode Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA), dimana dilakukan dengan cara mengajak para peserta kegiatan untuk berpartisipasi dalam proses pengembangan sebuah kegiatan. Dalam hal ini yakni pemanfaatan aplikasi google drive sebagai wadah untuk penyimpanan data secara digital. Hasil yang diharapkan dari kegiatan sosialisasi ini adalah agar menambah pemahaman kepada para guru dan tenaga kependidikan terkait tingkat pemanfaatan google drive di dunia Pendidikan dalam penyimpanan data maupun dokumen secara digital, sehingga nantinya data atau dokumen tersebut dapat dengan mudah diakses keberadaannya.

The production of shrimp in Indonesia is increasing every year. But the export of shrimp toforeign company has many problems and rejections such as it is caused by bacterium of Salmonella sp. The reduction of Salmonella contamination uses antibiotics is forbidden because it is causes negative effect for consumers.The research is done to give the description about Salmonella contamination of shrimp as aquaculture product so that can be considered the alternative of preventive treatment and various strategy to control the contamination of Salmonella.The research is done by taking the sample of vannamei shrimp from the sub district of Wonosobo, Kota Agung, Hanura and Rawajitu Timur, each three times to test the presence of Salmonella contamination and organoleptic test.Vannamei shrimp of aquaculture product in sub district Wonosobo, Kota Agung, and Hanura is contamined by Salmonella sp which comes from the sea water contamination as the media of aquaculture, while in Rawajitu Timur sub district is not contamined. The using of natural probioticssuch as garlic and noni fruit can prevent the growth of harmfull bacterium.The average value of organoleptic of vannamei shrimp from sub district Wonosobo, Kota Agung, Hanura and Rawajitu Timur above the average 8.07 so that it can be accepted by consumers.The contamination of Salmonella to shrimp cannot by proved by sensory test, because sensory test can not show the biological contamination.Key words :Salmonella, Shrimp ,Vannamei, Post-harvest

Kajian Cemaran Salmonella Sp pada Pasca Panen Udang Vannamei Hasil Budidaya di Wonosobo, Kota Agung, Hanura dan Rawajitu Timur

The aims of the research was to find out the level of students analytical thinking skills in physics before and after the applied Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. The research were used pre-experimental with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample studied was 23 students of class X MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Pamboang who were selected by purposive sampling technique. The data collection instrument was in the form of an essay test to measure students' analytical thinking skills before and after treatment. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential analysis. The average value of pretest was 27,13, while the average value of pottest was 47,34. The price of ttable = 2,073 while tcount = 3,6213. It means that there is a significant increase before and after the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model.
