Loss of Pfizer (BNT162b2) Vaccine-Induced Antibody Responses against the SARS-CoV-2 Omicron Variant in Adolescents and Adults
Sneh Gupta,Grace Mantus,Kelly E. Manning,Madison Ellis,Mit Patel,C. Ciric,Austin Lu,Jackson S. Turner,Jane A. O’Halloran,Rachel M. Presti,Devyani Joshi,Ali H. Ellebedy,Evan J. Anderson,Christina A. Rostad,Mehul S. Suthar,Jens Wrammert +15 more
TL;DR: Comparing the magnitude and breadth of humoral immune responses in adolescents and adults 1 month after the two-dose Pfizer (BNT162b2) vaccination found that adolescents demonstrated more robust binding antibody and neutralization responses against the wild-type SARS-CoV-2 virus spike protein contained in the vaccine.

Novel microparticulate Zika vaccine induces a significant immune response in a preclinical murine model after intramuscular administration.
Akanksha Kale,Devyani Joshi,Ipshita Menon,Priyal Bagwe,S. Patil,Sharon Vijayanand,Keegan Braz Gomes,Martin J. D'Souza +7 more
TL;DR: In this article , a poly(lactic-co-glycolic) acid (PLGA) polymeric vaccine microparticles (MP) encapsulating the inactivated Zika virus, along with adjuvant MP encapsulating Alhydrogel® and MPL-A® were formulated.

Subunit microparticulate vaccine delivery using microneedles trigger significant SARS-spike-specific humoral and cellular responses in a preclinical murine model
S. Patil,Sharon Vijayanand,Devyani Joshi,Ipshita Menon,Keegan Braz Gomes,Akanksha Kale,Priyal Bagwe,Shadi Yacoub,MN Uddin,Martin J. D'Souza +9 more
TL;DR: In this article , the authors evaluated the synergistic effect of a subunit microparticulate vaccine and microneedles (MN) assisted vaccine delivery system against a human coronavirus.

Microneedle Delivery of an Adjuvanted Microparticulate Vaccine Induces High Antibody Levels in Mice Vaccinated against Coronavirus
Sharon Vijayanand,S. Patil,Devyani Joshi,Ipshita Menon,Keegan Braz Gomes,Akanksha Kale,Priyal Bagwe,Shadi Yacoub,MN Uddin,Martin J. D'Souza +9 more
TL;DR: The results indicate that the particulate form of the vaccine is more immunogenic than the antigen suspension in vitro, and the adjuvanted MP vaccine induced increased antibody levels in mice following vaccination and will further be assessed for its cell-mediated responses.
Zika Vaccine Microparticles (MPs)-Loaded Dissolving Microneedles (MNs) Elicit a Significant Immune Response in a Pre-Clinical Murine Model
Akanksha Kale,Devyani Joshi,Ipshita Menon,Priyal Bagwe,S. Patil,Sharon Vijayanand,Keegan Braz Gomes,MN Uddin,Martin J. D'Souza +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper , a transdermal vaccine strategy against the Zika virus was proposed, where the vaccine MPs-loaded dissolving microneedles (MNs) with adjuvants with encapsulating Alhydrogel® and MPL-A® were administered via the trans-dermal route.
