Patent
Floating radio frequency trap for shield currents
Derek Seeber,Ashok Menon,Jovan Jevtic +2 more
- 13 May 2002
TL;DR: A floating shield current trap provides first and second concentric tubular conductors electrically connected to provide a resonance-induced high impedance of current flow in a path consisting of the inner and outer conductors and their junctions thereby suppressing coupled current flow on a shield of a conductor contained within the first inner tubular conductor as mentioned in this paper.

Patent
Decoupling circuit for magnetic resonance imaging local coils
Jovan Jectic,Ashok Menon,Derek Seeber +2 more
- 22 Nov 2002
TL;DR: In this paper, a decoupling circuit for magnetic resonance imaging was proposed, which includes a passive switching circuit for switching an inductor in parallel with a capacitive circuit in the local coil, and a discharge circuit for discharging residual currents from the circuit.

Patent
Modular local coil set for magnetic resonance imaging
Ashok Menon,Derek Seeber,Jovan Jevtic +2 more
- 25 Nov 2003
TL;DR: In this paper, a modular lower coil provides for a head, a vascular and, a thoracic/lumbar element that may interfit or be separated to provide individual imaging of these areas or a combined imaging region stretching from the head to the lower spine.

Patent
Retracting mri head coil
Jovan Jevtic,Ashok Menon,Derek Seeber,Matthew J. Mercier,Steven M. Zwolinski,Matthias Gyori +5 more
- 22 Nov 2002
TL;DR: In this paper, a head coil for magnetic resonance imaging was shortened longitudinally to provide for better access by a patient, and a portion of a conductor support sliding over the patient's head was removed to allow endotracheal tubes or the like to remain undisturbed.

Loop MRI coil with improved homogeneity
Jovan Jevtic,Derek Seeber,Ashok Menon +2 more
- 05 Mar 2003
TL;DR: A local coil for magnetic resonance imaging employs a loop divided by a shunting conductor which reduces sensitivity and field strength at one end of the loop to provide improved homogeneity for different coil configurations.
