Synthesis and spectroscopic studies of axially bound tetra(phenothiazinyl)/tetra(bis(4′-tert-butylbiphenyl-4-yl)aniline)-zinc(II)porphyrin-fullero[C60 & C70]pyrrolidine donor–acceptor triads
TL;DR: Two zinc porphyrin-based dyads, 5, 10, 15, 20, 20-tetra-4-(2-(10H-phenothiazin-10-yl)ethoxy)phenyl porphrinato zinc (II) and 5,10,15,20-Tetra-(bis(4′- tert -butylbiphenyl-4-yl),amino)porphinato zinc(II) containing four phenothiazine or bis(4-tert-butyl-biphensyl

Non-Covalent Interactions Mimic the Covalent: An Electrode-Orthogonal Self-Assembled Layer
Deepak Badgurjar,Madison Huynh,Benjamin Masters,Anna Wuttig +3 more
TL;DR: Researchers developed a non-covalent self-assembly method to create a stable, electrode-orthogonal layer that mimics covalently bound ferrocene, enabling synthetic control over electrified interfaces across various electrode materials and morphologies.

Phenothiazine functionalized fulleropyrrolidines: synthesis, charge transport and applications to organic solar cells
Deepak Badgurjar,Naresh Duvva,Anirban Bagui,Pooja,Sapna Gahlot,Ravinder Pawar,Surya Prakash Singh,Ashish Garg,Lingamallu Giribabu,Raghu Chitta +9 more
TL;DR: In this article , a series of phenothiazine-C60/70 dyads containing fulleropyrrolidine tethered to C-3 position (C60-PTZ) or to the heteroatom N-position via either phenyl or phenoxyethyl linkers were synthesized and light-induced electron transfer events were explored.

Electron-Withdrawing Boron Dipyrromethene Dyes As Visible Light Absorber/Sensitizers on Semiconductor Oxide Surfaces
TL;DR: The results of nanosecond transient absorption measurements on SnO2/TiO2 electrodes provide direct evidence for excited-state electron injection into the conduction band of TiO2 following 590 nm excitation and a longer life time for 8+ compared to 7+ is consistent with extensive intramolecular charge separation between the CBZ and BODIPY units on the surface.
Hypochlorite-Mediated Modulation of Photoinduced Electron Transfer in a Phenothiazine-Boron dipyrromethene Electron Donor-Acceptor Dyad: A Highly Water Soluble "Turn-On" Fluorescent Probe for Hypochlorite.
Disha Soni,Naresh Duvva,Deepak Badgurjar,Tapta Kanchan Roy,Surendra Nimesh,Geeta Arya,Lingamallu Giribabu,Raghu Chitta +7 more
TL;DR: The in vitro cell viability assay performed with human embryonic kidney 293 (HEK 293) cells suggested that WS-probe is non-toxic up to 10 μm and implicates the use of the probe for biological applications.
