Design of athermal arrayed waveguide grating using silica/polymer hybrid materials
TL;DR: In this paper, a novel athermal arrayed waveguide grating (AWG) which is composed of silica/polymer hybrid materials on a silicon substrate is demonstrated.

Effects of pumped styles on power conversion efficiency and gain characteristics of phosphate glass Er3+–Yb3+-co-doped waveguide amplifiers
TL;DR: In this article, the power conversion efficiency and gain characteristics of the EYCDWA were derived from the rate equations and the light propagation equations under the uniform dopant and the steady-state conditions.

Analysis for fabrication errors of arrayed waveguide grating multiplexers
TL;DR: In this article, the effects of fabrication errors on transmission characteristics are analyzed for a 33×33 polymer arrayed waveguide grating (AWG) multiplexer around the central wavelength of 1550.918 nm with the wavelength spacing of 0.8 nm.

Characteristic analysis of series-cascaded microring resonator arrays
TL;DR: In this paper, the transfer functions for a series-cascaded microring resonator array were formulated in terms of coupled mode theory and the transmission characteristics were analyzed and some parameters were optimized for such a polymer device.
